Construction Update - October 2008

With winter starting to express itself with fresh snow in the village, construction is proceeding apace to close the building in as quickly as possible. The concrete frame is nearly complete. The top floor is poured and the remaining work is limited to completing the lift and stair shafts to the loft level. Framing of the top floor is well advanced as many of the walls were prefabricated and roof beams are planned to commence installation this week. A floor below steel stud wall framing has commenced and is nearly complete with windows and services installed on the floor below that. The retail floor is sheet rocked and getting ready for fit out handover. The front building is closed in with the roof ready for tiles. Fit out has commenced for the RE/Max Office which will occupy two floors. Main services connections are well advanced and the stone finishing to the exterior is nearly 50% complete.

The Art program has commenced and the major commissioned works are well underway.

As a Sun Peaks owner and season pass holder for both the winter and summer seasons I am appalled at the poor composition of the above post. Please remember, if we are to sell Sun Peaks as a 1st class mountain and resort we need to have someone proof read and edit our messages and postings.

Thank you

Sun Peaks Owner,

we appreciate the feedback and for keeping an eagle eye on the site!
Copy has been changed, and we have modified our posting procedures to ensure this does not happen again.

The building construction is coming along nicely, and looks fabulous. The web site and postings are very informative and helpful. I'd rather have Sunpeaks be know for warm and freindly locals, along with a terrific hill & village. I think the post , about the proofing, was uncalled for.
